Memorial Day Weekend

Our original Memorial Day plans were canceled due to rain but that didn't stop Brandon from making sure it was a fun one for our kids. Instead of a trip to Lake Mead we ended up with 2 awesome little house guests. Brandon offered up 2 frequent flyer tickets to his sister to send her 2 oldest down for the weekend. She agreed and on Thursday Nicholas and Macy flew in to spend the weekend with us. When they got here we went to dinner at BJ's with Brandon's parents, Ryan and Heather. After dinner we went to Austin's preschool open house. Austin was so excited to introduce all his friends to his cousins. On Friday we went to Legoland for the day. It was so fun. It rained on and off but it didn't spoil the fun. When we got home we had pizza, showers and a fun movie night. On Saturday we spent the morning playing in the backyard and goofing off around the house until 2pm when Brandon's parents came to pick up our cute house guests for the night and spend some special time with them. Our kids had a babysitter on Saturday night since it was my birthday. We went to see the new Indiana Jones movie and go out to eat! It was so nice to spend time with my wonderful hubby! On Sunday morning we picked Nicholas and Macy up and took them to church with us so the kids could go to primary together. That was a special treat. After church we had lunch and played until it was time to take the kids to the airport. We were very sad to see them go. Aubrey and Austin missed them before the car had left the driveway. It was a wild and crazy cousin weekend! But more than anything it was a beautiful experience to see the love that these 4 children have for each other. They are very close considering we do not live in the same state. There were so many sweet moments where I felt so blessed to have the opportunity to love each one of these amazing spirits as a mommy and as an aunt. Thank you to Michelle and Anthony for entrusting your kids to us. It was a memory filled weekend for all of us.

Hey, when is your shower?? I haven't heard anything? OH, do you want me to make Aubrey a bow to match her dress for Erics wedding? Jenny asked me to make one for Belle.
